If is often said that markets make businesses. I agree with that sentiment. If you make a great product in a market without rabid customers, you will not make money. Similarly, if you have an amazing team but you are operating in a bad market, then your team will constantly be iterating the product but there still will be no appeal.

I went to the doctor yesterday. It was time for my annual physical - a complete checkup which includes different tests, some easy tests to do and some... ehm, a little less "convenient" - but it is all part of the deal when having a physical. The nurse that did some of the tests was very nice, but you could tell she was not thrilled doing the work.

One of my fellow bloggers discussed the notion of positive thinking not being the end-all-be-all cure. I completely agree. As an entrepreneur, things are not going to go as expected all the time. If you are new to entrepreneurship, you are likely to underestimate the start up process and overestimate your benchmark of success. What I mean is your eagerness and passion for your product may cloud your vision to the realities of the challenges of starting a business from the ground up.
